LAD 52nd Biennial State Conference

June 1, 2023 · TBD

TBD

The Louisiana Association of the Deaf, Inc. (LAD) is the oldest and premier organization for the Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing (DDBHH) community in Louisiana. LAD is a State Association with its membership comprised of individuals who are DDBHH along with parents, stakeholders, educators, professionals, and interested parties.

LAD holds the state conference biennially to bring together our membership, friends, business partners, and exhibitors to inspire, learn, and grow together.

In the last several years, LAD has undergone massive organizational changes including digitalizing operations, merging with Deaf Focus; a community-based services agency with new staff to support the Board, and raising the bar in serving our membership and our advocacy work for the community at large as a State Association of the Deaf.

The LAD Board of Directors wants to bring emphasis on the theme for the conference this year: “Embracing the Challenges of Change.”

The time is NOW for our community to pull together and work on common goals in changing the inadequate norms and standards we live by today, and create a more equitable tomorrow for our children and future leaders of our community.

Come join our campaign in moving all of us forward in changing Louisiana for the better.

His career in accounting and finance spans over 45 years, marked by significant contributions. Previously, he has held roles at Hughes Aircraft Company, the Greater Los Angeles Agency on Deafness, and the Communication Services for the Deaf.

We look forward to learning from his wealth of experience in both, the field of parliamentary procedures, and Boards within the Deaf community.

- Mock Board Meetings for Hands-On Experience
- Networking Opportunities
